Gabu, 14 April 2023 - The United Nations Population Fund and the Youth Institute are organising a capacity-building workshop for peer educators from 4 youth networks (RENAJELF, RENAJ, FNJP, CNJ), which aims to strengthen the capacity of young people from the youth networks on Sexual and Reproductive Health, Family Planning and Gender-Based Violence including Female Genital Mutilation.
The event's opening ceremony was presided over by the Secretary of State for Youth and Professional Training, Agostinho Intante Dju, and the UNFPA Resident Representative in Guinea-Bissau, Jocelyn Fenard, flanked by the Coordinator of the Gabu Multifunctional Centre and a representative of the participants.
The trainees will subsequently carry out community sensitisation for four months in the regions of Gabú, Bafatá and the Autonomous Sector of Bissau in the following training areas: Sexual and Reproductive Health, Family Planning and Gender-Based Violence.

The workshop will involve 40 young people from 4 youth networks in Bissau, Bafatá and Gabú, and will take place on 14 and 15 April 2023 in the city of Gabú.
