The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Guinea-Bissau delivered 1500 social masks to the Institute for Women and Children (IMC) in the framework of the prevention and fight against Covid-19 in the country. The delivery ceremony for the aforementioned materials took place at the IMC facilities and was carried out by Dr. Mamadu Jao, UNFPA Assistant Representative, and Ms. Maria Victoria, President of IMC, in the presence of officials from both institutions.

The masks delivered will be distributed by IMC in different regions of the country, including in the Autonomous Sector of Bissau and will benefit health and protection structures for victims of Gender Based Violence, salespeople from local markets, religious and traditional leaders, young people and other members from various communities in the country.
