Bissau 27 June 2023The Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Integration, through the Central Department for the Census of the National Statistics Institute, and the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA, organised a workshop to discuss and validate the questionnaires for the 4th General Population and Housing Census of Guinea-Bissau.

The workshop was chaired by the President of the National Statistics Institute, Roberto Vieira, and the UNFPA Representative, Jocelyn Fenard. This workshop to validate the data collection instruments for the 4th General Population and Housing Census of Guinea-Bissau  took place in the Capital Bissau and will last two (02) days, from 27 to 28 June 2023.

The aim of the workshop is to present, discuss and validate the questionnaires in order to obtain a final version for the data collection of the 4th General Population and Housing Census of Guinea-Bissau, as the preparation of data collection instruments is an essential stage in the process of carrying out a statistical data collection operation..

Participants in the 2-day workshop included national and international users, government institutions, United Nations agencies and other international organisations based in the country, the private sector, NGOs, universities, research institutions, civil society, among others.
