Bissau 22 February 2023 - Under the perspective of presenting, analyzing and validating the bi-annual Work Plans (WPs) for 2023-2024, UNFPA Guinea-Bissau, with its implementing partners, held today the validation workshop of the Work Plans for the next 2 aforementioned years.

The event was chaired by the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Integration, the Government structure responsible for the coordination of the implementation of all the WPs signed under the 2022-2026 Country Programme Document, with the aim of contributing to the achievement of national priorities and consequently the Sustainable Development Goals in Guinea Bissau.

This 2023-2024 programme is the result of an inclusive and multi-sectoral process that involved more than 75 participants from different governmental and non-governmental institutions, youth and women's organisations, traditional leaders and associations of people with disabilities, and was developed during the review session of the Annual Work Plan 2022, and co-creation of the 2023-2024 Bi-annual Work Plans, held between 13,14 and 15 December 2022.
